Get inspired!
Before I start working on a project, I do look around for inspiration. After I define the style I’m going to follow, I go running on my favourite galleries to find something that will inspire me and get me working on a design like crazy. There are dozens of online galleries that showcase distinctive website designs to provide you plenty of inspiration.
Not all galleries are as great as some though. I browse quite a few of them, but my favourites are:
Design Flavr – Creative Designs showcase. It concentrates mostly on the graphical details of the websites. It showcases truly unique designs! You can make the choice of having a bigger image view on the gallery. For me is the Number One Source for inspiration!
CSS Tux – I love the presentation of this gallery, in dark background. You can view the design of each site without the need of having it in bigger size. Great design collection.
Style Vault – Another great gallery, focused strictly on styles!
CSS Mania – A gallery that gets updated every day with fresh new designs. It provides a monthly winners section with the best designs of the month and holds the CSS World Awards for developers around the Globe.
CSS Elite showcases categories of design based on a number of things, being it styles, types of work, designers, etc.
Web Creme – It is definitely different from the most, since its giving you the opportunity to browse web designs by colour. So, if you’re looking to get inspired by colour palette this is definitely the site to look at!
Unmatched Style – Showcase of designs by Blog, Liquid Layouts, WordPress designs, etc. It also provides you with showcases on Free WordPress Themes! Great gallery, very easy to browse through.
CSS Vault – Another Great Resource of beautifully designed sites.
CSS Burst – Web 2.0 Gallery Showcase.
